Tengku Amir hands Yide donations to nearly 600 orphans

PETALING JAYA, April 16 — The Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah presented contributions to 585 orphans at Masjid Kota Damansara yesterday.

Via the Hari Raya Aidilfitri donations from Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (Yide), all orphans in the Petaling district each received RM150.

During the event, His Highness also presented RM205,000 for the construction of Kompleks Asrama Anak Yatim Yide, RM400,000 for dialysis centres, and RM20,000 in management funds for the orphans.

Tengku Amir then presented a certificate of appreciation to Ketua Sahabat Prihatin Yide (KSPY) in the districts of Petaling, Gombak, and Hulu Selangor.

KSPY is Yide’s representative on the field, in helping to collect Kupon Infak Yatim Yideand channel information related to orphans and instances of disasters.

Meanwhile, Yide chairman Tan Sri Mazlan Mansor said the total number of orphans in Petaling who ought to receive the donations is 1,636 people, at a RM245,400 allocation.

He said the 1,051 orphans who did not attend the ceremony will have the funds credited to their respective bank accounts.

“We hope the orphans so honoured today will enjoy abundant blessings, not just in the month of Ramadan but also throughout the year.

“Yide thanks His Highness the Raja Muda, for his ceaseless concern in meeting with orphans,” Mazlan said.

For Ramadan this year, the total number of orphans who received Hari Raya Aidilfitri donations from Yide stands at 9,081 people, at a RM1.4 million allocation.
