Parents invited to apply for disabled children’s aid on Monday

SHAH ALAM, May 10 — Parents with disabled children under the age of 18 are invited to apply for the Selangor Special Needs Children (AnIS) special assistance.

The assistance comes in the form of food or additional needs, the purchase or repair of equipment, as well as machines and medicines. It is open from Monday (May 15) until May 26.

Asides from this, educational fee subsidies covering therapy or special classes are also offered. The special classes assistance is only for those who qualify based on a doctor’s prescription.

The incentive offers one-off assistance, with a maximum limit of RM5,000 per family.

Applications must be made at http://www.anisselangor.com, which must then be printed out and sent in with supporting documents within 14 days from the date of the application.

The deadline for submitting the application is at 5.30pm on Tuesday, May 30, at Yayasan Warisan Warisan Anak Selangor’s (Yawas) office.
