Digital Niaga to help SMEs manage business efficiently, systematically

KUALA LUMPUR, June 28 — The Digital Niaga @ Borong programme in Bandar Tun Razak, which was launched today, is meant to help small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) manage their business more efficiently and systematically.

The Prime Minister’s wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said the programme will enable the SMEs to keep up with the current fast-paced development in the digital landscape.

“This programme focuses on the current market, funding and invoicing for vendors and buyers as well as digital enterprise resource planning,” she said in her speech at the launch.

Dr Wan Azizah, who is also the Bandar Tun Razak MP, expressed hope the programme will benefit local entrepreneurs, particularly those in the constituency.

The Digital Niaga programme was jointly developed by government agencies and the banking sector, to assist local entrepreneurs to access funding facilities and training programmes.

It is aimed at helping SMEs deal with the challenges they face in obtaining loans from traditional banking institutions to expand their operations, invest in innovation, and grow in the current competitive scene.
