SHAH ALAM, June 29 — The distribution of RM1,000 in assistance to 939 schools throughout Selangor as management funds for their respective Parent-Teacher Associations (PTA) is expected to be completed by the end of July.

Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI’s corporate social responsibility head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said all schools under the administration of the State Education Department will receive the assistance.

“The State Education Department will issue a circular regarding the necessary documents the PTAs must provide, including bank statements, which will then be handed over to MBI.

“We will gather all these documents and make adjustments. InsyaAllah, we expect the payment to be completed for the 939 PTAs by the end of July,” he said.

Recently, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced the RM1,000 assistance to 939 schools statewide, as management funds for PTAs.

“The amount is not much, but I believe it is a good introduction and method to familiarise ourselves with establishing many networks and ensuring that PTAs can function well.

“If the associations function well, it will greatly benefit the students and teachers, especially in terms of the children’s learning,” he said.
