MBPJ installs payment kiosks at four locations

By Azian Aziz

SHAH ALAM, June 6 — In a bid to facilitate the public in paying their bills, taxes, compounds and licensing fees, Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has installed payment kiosks at four prime locations.

Specifically, they are located at the Jalan Othman market, Taman Megah SS24 market, PJKita@Sri Damansara market and The Spine@PJKita SS7 community centre.

MBPJ corporate communications unit’s media secretariat said the kiosks will be operating everyday from 7.30am to 9pm, including during weekends and public holidays.

“The kiosks accept payments for all MBPJ bills, but are only limited to debit and credit cards,” it said in a statement yesterday.

According to the secretariat, the initiative is hoped to be able to make it easier for public members to deal with MBPJ without requiring to physically be present at the council’s headquarters.

Additionally, transactions can also be made beyond office hours, it noted.

Those with further inquiry on the payment kiosks can contact MBPJ at 03-79563544.
