SHAH ALAM, June 30 – The inaugural Selangor Children’s Book Fair 2023 will be held at the PKNS Complex in Shah Alam next month from July 27 to 30.
The Selangor Public Library Corporation (PPAS) announced on Facebook earlier this week that this year’s theme for the book fair is “Connecting Hearts and Minds”.
The event aims to not only promote children’s books but also inspire young minds to nurture a lifelong love for reading.
Expanding on the success of the Selangor International Book Fair, the addition of the edition for children reflects the commitment to fostering a reading culture among the youths.
Over 100 exhibitors, including local authors, publishers, and booksellers, will participate in this highly anticipated event.
Various engaging activities will be featured such as book signings, storytelling sessions, workshops, and exhibitions.
The book fair provides a platform for authors and publishers to showcase their works and offers valuable resources for parents and educators interested in promoting literacy.
Through collaboration with local communities, schools, libraries, and literary organisations, the event also aims to create an inclusive and enriching environment for children and families.
