Subang Jaya state rep pens book to raise funds for upcoming state elections

By Diana Abd Wahab

SUBANG JAYA, June 4 — Subang Jaya state assemblyman Michelle Ng has published a book called “My Story: Beneath Calm Waters” to raise funds for the upcoming state elections.

She said the proceeds from the sale of the book, which highlights the challenges and highs and lows she encountered while serving as a state representative, will be channelled into the DAP USJ 6 account.

“I don’t want this book to be just about policies and theories, therefore, I tried to make it more personal by including some on-the-ground stories that inspire the policies we fight for.

“I hope the narrative of my political career journey is well received by the community,” she said at the book launch at a shopping centre, here yesterday.

Also present were DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang, Transport Minister Anthony Loke and former Damansara MP Tony Pua.

Some 100 people attended the event, with over 200 copies sold, most were bought in bulk.

Priced at RM20, Ng expressed her confidence that more than 2,000 books can be sold throughout June.

“Those interested in the book after can purchase it at the Subang Jaya Community Service Centre in SS14,” she said.
