SHAH ALAM, July 7 — Nearly 15,000 complaints related to solid waste collection made via the i-Clean Selangor app were resolved within 24 hours, from January to May this year.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said this development proves the state’s efficiency of solid waste and trash management.

“Last year, approximately 36,800 cases were resolved, an increase compared to 30,949 cases in 2021, including domestic waste collection, bulk waste collection, and public cleaning.

“The work carried out by KDEB Waste Management ought to be appreciated,” he said on Twitter yesterday.

Amirudin urged Selangor residents to use i-Clean Selangor, so they can enjoy the excellent services provided by the state government.

“The people of Selangor can use this app. Over 100,000 registered active users are currently benefiting from it,” he said.

The Menteri Besar added that i-Clean Selangor is an initiative by the Pakatan Harapan-led state government, to address bulk waste disposal issues and complaints about garbage.

Previously, Amirudin said the app makes it easier for residents to report cleaning complaints in their areas, and to request bulk waste disposal services.

Members of the public may download i-Clean Selangor from Google Play and the App Store, as well as contact its customer service at 1-800-88-2824/019-375 9592, or WhatsApp (019-2742824) for faster and more accurate complaint management.
