Harapan’s Juwairiya loses to former MB Azmin in close fight

SHAH ALAM, Aug 12 — Former menteri besari Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has won the Hulu Kelang seat in a tough fight against Pakatan Harapan’s Juwairiya Zulkifli.

He garnered 25,597 votes compared to Juwairiya’s 23,980 votes, a 1,617 vote majority.

Azmin is also the Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) state chairman and was previously the Bukit Antarabangsa state assemblyman.

Juwairiya has also served as the political secretary to Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari. Before this, she was the Bukit Melawati state assemblyman from 2018 to 2023.
