Mandatory to use tax e-services from Sept 1 — IRB

PUTRAJAYA, Aug 22 — The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) is mandating the use of e-services for taxation from September 1 to empower the digitalisation of service delivery systems.

The IRB said the mandatory use of e-services through the MyTax portal is in line with the government’s aspiration to gradually increase the number of fully online services, with the transition expected to be fully realised by January 1.

The IRB advised taxpayers to switch to end-to-end services for all transactions, including by using the provided online payment methods, to ensure all recorded transactions are secure and organised.

The list of mandatory e-services along with their descriptions can be accessed at the portal, and a guide to using e-services can be found here
