More than 4 million residents benefit from the Ehsan Rahmah Sales programme

SHAH ALAM, 6 Aug — A total of 4.4 million Selangor residents have benefited from the Ehsan Rahmah Sales (JER) programme so far, said ]Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari adding that the State Government spent a total of RM23 million in subsidies for the programme.

“Alhamdulillah so far RM23 million has been spent by the State Government in the form of subsidies for basic necessities in Selangor.

“A total of 4.4 million people in Selangor have benefited from this JER program,” he said on his Facebook page.

Amirudin, who is also the  candidate for the Sungai Tua State Assembly seat, said the programme will be expanded if he is given the mandate in the state election.

“God willing, with the mandate that will be given in the election, we will expand this programme to include more people in the state, Choose unity for the sake of the stability and prosperity of Selangor.”

Among other things, the sale offers chicken at RM10 a pack, fresh meat at RM10 a pack and grade B eggs at RM10 a carton, five kilogrammes of cooking oil for RM25 and five kilogrammes of rice at RM10.

The programme, which was previously known as the Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat, has been extended until December with the aid of the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry.
