Police to call Sanusi in over exposed voting slip

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 15 — Police will summon Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor for displaying his ballot paper to media personnel after casting his vote on polling day for the state elections Saturday.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said: “We will leave the decision on whether to proceed with charges to the AGC (Attorney-General’s Chambers).”

Razarudin said the case will be investigated under Sections 5(1) and 26(1)(g) of the Election Offences Act 1954.

Sanusi on Saturday reportedly said he didn’t mean to expose his marked ballot to the media, adding that he revealed it accidentally while posing for pictures.
