SAS 2023 visitors advised to use e-hailing, shuttle services

SHAH ALAM, Aug 29 — Those attending the Selangor Aviation Show (SAS) 2023 next week are encouraged to travel via e-hailing or provided shuttle services.

This is because parking is extremely limited at Skypark RAC in Bukit Jelutong.

Invest Selangor Bhd chief executive officer Dato’ Hasan Azhari Idris said over 24,000 visitors are expected at the event between September 7 and 9, and massive congestion can be expected if vehicles were to congregate there.

He urged those driving to park their vehicles at Shah Alam Stadium adjacent to the Giant Seksyen 13 hypermarket, and ride the shuttle bus to the venue.

“A dedicated shuttle bus service will be mobilised to ferry attendees to Skypark RAC,” he said at a press conference here today.

Visitors only need to scan the QR code emailed to them after they register at the SAS 2023 entrance counter, upon which they will be given a visitor wristband.

Alternatively, Hasan said visitors can use e-hailing services and be dropped off at i-Parc 3, Bukit Jelutong.

“From this point, a shuttle van will be available to ferry attendees to the event entrance for them to collect their wristbands.”

Hasan advised members of the media to utilise the shuttle services as well, though those travelling with heavy equipment will be allowed to be dropped off at the main entrance.

He said all visitors will have to undergo a routine security check prior to entering SAS 2023.

SAS is an annual business and general aviation show hosted by the state government and organised by Invest Selangor, with the inaugural event in 2021.

Its third instalment this year will feature local and international exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations in the aviation, helicopter and drone sector.
