Infrasel continues major road-paving works in Hulu Langat, Hulu Selangor

SHAH ALAM, Sept 7 — The mega road repair project actively being carried out statewide since May this year continues as state-owned company Infrasel Sdn Bhd endeavours in the Hulu Langat and Hulu Selangor districts.

It said repair work was carried out on Jalan Broga in Semenyih, Hulu Langat, yesterday evening.

Similarly, Jalan Estet Sungai Gapi in Hulu Selangor also underwent repair and resurfacing works on Tuesday (September 5).

“The repair works, though inconvenient, are being carried out today for the convenience of all,” it said on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Infrasel has also done several repair projects in Kuala Langat, Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Hulu Selangor, Gombak, and Petaling.

On August 22, its operating executive Abdullah Hanif Abd Ghalib said the 93 large-scale repair projects in Selangor have since been 86 per cent completed.

With a RM50 million cost, it is expected to be completed sometime this month, with priority given to road repairs based on public complaints.

On July 9, state executive councillor for infrastructure Izham Hashim said Infrasel’s mega road repair project will encompass 118 roads, including those under the local authorities, the Public Works Department, the Drainage and Irrigation Department, and the District and Land Offices.

These include 66 roads in Petaling, 39 in Klang, 29 in Gombak, 27 in Hulu Langat, 19 in Sepang, 17 in Sabak Bernam, 16 in Kuala Langat, 11 in Kuala Selangor, and eight in Hulu Selangor.
