SHAH ALAM, Sept 6 — Several roads along Dataran Kemerdekaan and its surrounding areas in Section 14 will be closed to traffic this Sunday (September 10), in conjunction with the Shah Alam Car-Free Day.

The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) said these roads will be vehicle-free from 6.30am to 9.30am.

“The closure is meant for preparatory works and the organisation of the car-free day programme.

“You are advised to use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion,” it said in several social media posts today.

According to MBSA, the roads that will be affected are Persiaran Perbandaran, Persiaran Bandar Raya, Persiaran Dato Menteri, and Persiaran Tasik, as well as portions of Persiaran Damai and Persiaran Masjid.

The city council also recommends those who are planning to participate in the programme to park in the available spaces located adjacent to the Shah Alam Maybank main branch’s building.
