SHAH ALAM, Sept 5 — The Selangor Air Show (SAS) 2023 is set to see 117 local and foreign exhibitors from September 7 to 9.

This turnout is nearly double the participants of SAS 2022.

Targeting a potential transaction value of RM700 million this year, SAS 2023 will see attendees from the United States, France, Denmark, Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong.

Over three days, the exhibition is set to attract over 20,000 visitors from myriad sectors.

SAS 2023, which will be held at Skypark RAC, Bukit Jelutong, here, will centre 40 static plane displays including private and sports craft.

New events include drone shows and a career carnival involving 20 aviation firms that provide advice for interview sessions.

Held since 2021, SAS is a platform for the state to encourage the growth of the aerospace industry and to help local firms and small and medium enterprises enter the sector.

In March, former executive council member Dato’ Teng Chang Khim said SAS 2023 could net potential investment of RM2 billion.

SAS 2022, held from September 8 to 10 last year, clocked a potential transaction value of RM1.17 billion, while the inaugural SAS 2021 netted RM100 million.
