SHAH ALAM, Sept 13 — Yayasan Warisan Anak Selangor (Yawas) has received 305 applications for the Taska Registration Fee Incentive (Pintas), since it opened on September 1.

Its assistant corporate communications manager Sharizan Mohd Shariff said these applications will be processed within two weeks from the date of submission.

“The RM100 one-time incentive can be applied for by parents with household incomes between RM5,001 and RM8,000, to help reduce the financial burden of working parents.

“Those who qualify are encouraged to do so via the link pintas.yawas.com.my,” he said when contacted by SelangorKini.

Prior to this, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, during the presentation of the 2023 Selangor Budget on November 25 last year, announced the one-time assistance for parents with children aged four and below, to enrol them in childcare centres or nurseries.

The annual registration incentive for the M40 group involves RM500,000 in funding.

Yawas’ management incentive is limited to two children under the age of four for one family. It is not available to recipients of the Childcare Assistance Scheme (Asuh Pintar), besides childcare centres registered with the Selangor Social Welfare Department.

Among other conditions, applicants must be Malaysian citizens, Selangor voters, residents of the state, and are employed.

Online applications should include several documents within 21 days of registration. The documents to be uploaded include:

  • A copy of the child’s birth certificate.
  • A copy of the applicant’s identification card.
  • A copy of the latest voter registration.
  • A copy of the applicant’s and spouse’s latest pay statement.
  • A copy of the bank account statement.
  • A copy of the legal declaration or adoption certificate.
  • A copy of the receipt for the childcare center registration fee for the year 2023.
