SHAH ALAM, Oct 4 — The 2024 Selangor Budget is scheduled to be tabled in the middle of November, in conjunction with the State Legislative Assembly sitting.

According to Mentri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, the state government is currently waiting for the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj’s consent on the matter.

“We will hold the budget session and state assembly meeting concurrently in mid-November. We are waiting for the consent of His Royal Highness,” he said at a press conference, here, today.

For this year’s budget, the Selangor government allocated a total of RM2.45 billion through five core strategies, with a primary focus on supporting the state economy.

The strategies are to strengthen economic growth; nurture a united and compassionate society; education and development for future generations; sustainable and prosperous life; and efficient and responsible governance.
