Acting chief executive officer Normaiza Yahya said the assistance fulfills the State Government’s vision to boost the low-income group to the middle class through business.
“The financing limit is between RM1,000 and RM100,000 and it is a one-time financing amount.
“The Hijrah Scheme helps entrepreneurs in Selangor who want to start a business and increase their income.”
Met at the Telekom Malaysia Foundation’s Digital Entrepreneur Sustainability Programme here today, she said a total of 6,700 Hijrah participants were also offered repeat loans.
Normaiza said the offer was reserved for participants who successfully repay the first loan according to the schedule and business performance that is growing.
“This repeat loan is not limited, successful entrepreneurs can borrow again to expand operations such as adding branches, employees and product marketing.
“According to our records, there are participants who have borrowed from us 10 times. This year, most of the participants making repeat loans took advantage of the i-Business and the Digital Scheme.”
