MBSA donates RM156,000 to schools involved in state election

SHAH ALAM, Oct 27 — 52 schools used as voting centres in the August 12 Selangor state election received RM156,000 in donations from the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA).

It said a RM3,000 initiative for each school will go towards improving their basic facilities.

“The schools include those within the state constituencies of Kota Anggerik, Sungai Kandis, Kota Kemuning, and Batu Tiga.

“With this donation, we hope it can enhance the learning quality among students by providing for more comfortable and conducive facilities and environment,” MBSA said in a statement today.

Acting Shah Alam Mayor Chemiri Tarman presented the cheques at a handover ceremony to the Selangor Education Department’s principal assistant secretary Mohd Alias Awang.
