MBSJ’s U-Plats entrepreneur training prog opens until October 15

SHAH ALAM, Oct 6 — The Entrepreneur Development Training Program (U-Plats) application process under the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) is open until October 15.

Selangor Platform (Plats) said the Jejak Usahawan Mikro MBSJ: Zero to Hero programme is limited to only 30 participants.

“Participants stand the chance at receiving business guidance, RM1,500 in free training, and a RM3,000 grant.

“Furthermore, those selected will undergo modules on basic entrepreneurship courses, social media, e-commerce, and digital content creation,” it said in a Facebook post.

To qualify, applicants must be registered with PLATSelangor, possess a business permit from their relevant local authority, and conduct their businesses in the state.

“They must also have a physical business location (which is also open to food trucks or street vendors) and are Selangor residents (born or residing in Selangor for over five years). Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, will fully cover the programme’s costs.

“Application forms must be submitted to the MBSJ Licensing Department before or on October 15. For further information, please visit www.mbsj.gov.my or contact 0380263175,” Plats said.

The U-Plats programme is a new initiative to help entrepreneurs digitally manage their businesses.

Previously, MBI chief operating officer Saipolyazan M Yusop said 360 entrepreneurs would benefit from the agency’s programme, supervised by Selangor’s 12 local authorities.

He added that participating entrepreneurs would undergo three training modules over three months, based on a rotation system among the local authorities, from this month until March 2024.
