Water supply in three regions fully restored this morning

SHAH ALAM, Oct 13 — The water supply to all areas affected by the scheduled disruption for the maintenance and replacement of assets at the Langat River water treatment plant (LRA), was fully restored at 6am this morning.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) recommends that consumers use all faucets and let the water flow for five to 10 minutes to ensure that the water is completely clean.

“Air Selangor would like to thank consumers for their patience and cooperation during this scheduled water supply disruption,” he said in a post on Facebook.

Last Tuesday, Air Selangor carried out a scheduled maintenance, improvement, and asset replacement work at the Sungai Langat LRA, which caused water supply disruptions in Petaling, Kuala Lumpur and Hulu Langat.

The work carried out focused on the replacement of obsolete equipment, including the replacement of a 50-year-old water gate valve
