SHAH ALAM, Nov 4 — The Kuala Selangor Municipal Council (MPKS) clinched two gold awards at the International Convention on Quality Control Circles (ICQCC) 2023 in Beijing, China, on November 1.
The conference was attended by 432 Innovative and Creative Groups (ICCs) from various countries, including Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, Taiwan, China, and India.
“The first gold award was achieved by MPKS’s Property Assessment and Management Department’s Peharta group, which presented the ‘KASTILD’ (Self-Service Weighing Counter) product.
“International judges praised it as part of MPKS’s efforts to curb fraudulent weighing activities in business transactions,” said the council in a Facebook post yesterday.
The second gold award was won by the Corporate and Public Relations Unit’s iCorp group, for its e-Design system.
It is a medium for the council to provide precise and fast public communication designs.
“MPKS’ participation as Malaysia’s representative at this convention has successfully brought honour to Selangor. It is the result of the council’s continuous efforts in fostering innovation to develop Kuala Selangor,” it said.
