KLANG, Nov 5 — State executive councillor for human resources and poverty eradication V. Papparaidu called for unity by promoting mutual understanding and respect for each other’s beliefs, cultures, and traditions.

In conjunction with the state-level Deepavali celebrations yesterday evening, he said this aims to create tolerance among people from various racial and religious backgrounds.

“On today’s celebration, I hope we can unite with people of all races in Selangor.

“We must socialise with individuals from various racial backgrounds to strengthen our unity and foster mutual respect for one another’s traditions, beliefs, and cultures.

“As a result, we can promote tolerance and achieve peaceful coexistence, benefitting from the diversity in our nation,” he said during his speech at Dataran Klang.

Furthermore, Papparaidu highlighted the achievements under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, particularly the successful formation of the Madani government in promoting unity and inclusivity.

“The Prime Minister said that, under the Madani government,  no one is left behind.

“As a new state executive councillor, I am setting an example by committing to leave no one behind, including the Indian community,” he said.
