Award, title a motivator to serve better — Exco

KLANG, Dec 11 — State executive councillor for local government and tourism Dato’ Ng Suee Lim, who was conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Selangor (D.P.M.S.) today, is determined to continue providing his best service to the people.

Expressing gratitude for the honour, which was bestowed in conjunction with the 78th birthday of the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, he also aspires to promote Selangor’s tourism industry, which has its own uniqueness, like indigenous villages and heritage arts.

“In addition, I will ensure His Royal Highness’ aspirations for Selangor continue to progress in terms of investment, local authority administration, and performance improvement,” Ng said at Balairung Seri, Istana Alam Shah, today.

Earlier, the Ruler bestowed the D.P.M.S. title of Dato’ upon nine recipients, including Ng, State Financial Officer Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin, and Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan.

Meanwhile, Subang Jaya City Council Mayor Datuk Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim expressed gratitude for being awarded the Darjah Kebesaran Dato’-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (D.S.I.S.).

“I have served in Selangor for 12 years, and this is a recognition and a motivator to continue contributing and giving the best to the Selangor government.

“At MBSJ, the administration always prioritises His Royal Highness’ directives, including those related to the importance of cleanliness and infrastructure maintenance to prevent floods,” he said.

Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) chief executive officer Yong Kai Ping, who was granted the Darjah Setia-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (S.I.S.), the award is a recognition of the state’s digital efforts.

“This award will continue to be a boost and inspiration because Sidec is currently focusing on more advanced digital sectors, like artificial intelligence.

“Next year, we will strengthen this technology and have our own training academy which can 600 individuals,” he said.

For the 78th birthday celebrations, Sultan Sharafuddin conferred titles and honors to 97 recipients, including the prestigious Darjah Kerabat Selangor Yang Amat Dihormati (D.K) to Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.
