SUBANG JAYA, Dec 22 — The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) has opened online applications for Ramadan bazaar permits for 2024 from December 15 to December 31.
Its mayor Datuk Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim said 25 locations have been identified and will operate during the fasting month, offering 1,560 trading spots, which can be applied for at www.mbsj.gov.my.
Applications can also be made by scanning QR codes on posters uploaded by MBSJ on its social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and X.
“Interested traders need to register as a user on my@mbsj portal before applying for the Ramadan bazaar permit.
“The application process is fully conducted online and follows three main procedures, namely registration, uploading supporting documents, and payment for the permit fee.
“Priority is given to traders or residents living within MBSJ’s administrative areas,” he said at a press conference after chairing the council’s full monthly meeting today.
Fauzi also advised traders to apply early before the closing date to avoid any inconvenience. For more information, they can visit the council’s website, social media, or contact the MBSJ Licensing Department at 03-80264324.
On a separate matter, he said MBSJ is confident of achieving a 100 per cent tax revenue collection for the year, targeting RM315 million.
As of November 30, the collection has reached 95 per cent, amounting to RM213.07 million.
“This amount includes RM163.12 million in current tax collections, with the remaining consisting of RM50.98 million in tax arrears payments,” Fauzi said.
