MPS collects RM1.9 mln in business licence fees by November

GOMBAK, Dec 21 — The Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) has collected RM1,979,564 in business license fees through online transactions as of last month.

Council President Datuk Mohd Yazid Sairi said the collection involved over 2,339 transactions, while other payments, including kiosk rentals, amounted to RM288,668.50.

“In addition, building and planning permit collections stand at RM23,145.60. Collections involve fines for various types of offences totalling RM42,925.00.

“Furthermore, the MyMPS portal has been upgraded to facilitate traders in making payments for four related categories,” he said at the 12th MPS monthly meeting today.

Yazid added that MPS is actively conducting online property tax payment campaigns through MyMPS, Lazada, Shopee, and Citizen E-Payment (CEPat) via https://mymps.mps.gov.my.

The council has also opened counters for business license renewals at the Menara MPS lobby from December 18 to December 30.

“Operating hours are from Monday to Friday, starting at 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, and on Saturdays from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm,” he said.
