Subang Jaya police destroy case items worth RM1.24mln

PETALING JAYA, Dec 6 — Subang Jaya police disposed of various case items, involving gambling equipment, bitcoin machines, contraband liquor and cigarettes, worth RM1.24 million.

Subang Jaya district police chief, ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, said that the cases involved 179 investigation papers, completed between 2020 and 2021 and sentenced by the court.

He said that the disposal included gambling case items amounting to 1,078 sets of computers, laptops and mobile phones, with a total seized value of RM744,600, as well as RM27,807 in cash.

“For contraband items, a total of 1,479 bottles and cans of liquor and 1,863 cartons of cigarettes of various brands, with a seized value of RM418,000. The bitcoin case items involved a total of 113 bitcoin machines, with a total seized value of RM51,000,” he said in a press conference, here today.

Meanwhile, commenting on the development of the baby dumping case along Jalan PJS 9/1 Bandar Sunway, on Nov 19, Wan Azlan said that the investigation is ongoing and thus far, no arrests have been made.
