Eight killed, dozens wounded in israeli airstrike west of Deir Al-Balah in Gaza

GAZA, Monday, Jan 8 — At least eight people were killed and dozens more wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting a house west of the city of Deir al-Balah in the Gaza Strip, according to local medical sources, reported the Palestine News and Information Agency (WAFA).

According to the report, the eight dead bodies were brought to the Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital following the airstrike, including dozens of women and children who were among the injured.

Meanwhile, an Israeli military aircraft was seen randomly opening fire in the courtyard of the Gaza European Hospital as it also targeted buildings of the Colleges of Science and Technology, located south of Khan Yunis in the south of the strip.

At the same time, Israeli warplanes carry out intense airstrikes on the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7 has resulted in at least 22,835 people killed, 70 per cent among whom are women and children, and has left around 58,316 people wounded, including 7,000 others missing under the rubble.
