KDEBWM to provide bulk garbage collection in conjunction with Chinese New Year

SHAH ALAM, Jan 23 — KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM) is providing a bulk garbage collection service in conjunction with Chinese New Year next month.

Its managing director Dato’ Ramli Tahir said the service would make it easier for residents, especially Chinese families to prepare for the festivities, especially with regard to the replacement of old furniture.

“This Chinese New Year, many people will definitely replace old furniture because they want to liven up the festive atmosphere. So, to make matters easier, we will provide large Roll On Roll Off (Roro) bins for disposal,” he told Selangorkini.

Ramli added that his agency will also promote a garbage disposal complaint app, i-Clean Selangor at the state-level Civic Tour that will take place from 23 to 25 February.

“In addition to collecting garbage, we want the public to know about the i_Clean app provided by KDEBWM.

“At the same time, we want to understand what users’ wishes and expectations are for KDEBWM. The app will better connect us with our consumers,” he said.

The I-Clean Selangor app makes it easy for the public to report solid waste collection complaints online and apply for bulk waste disposal services.

Last year, the app won the “Best Public Service App” award at the 23rd PC.Com Awards.

The public can download the app from Google Play, the Apple App Store or contact customer service at 1-800-88-2824 /019-375 9592 or via WhatsApp at 019-274 2824 so that complaints are handled more quickly and efficiently.
