MPS records RM63.25 mln surplus income in 2023

GOMBAK, Jan 20 — The Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) managed to collect RM63.25 million in additional revenue last year. 

Its president Datuk Mohd Yazid Sairi said MPS has successfully collected revenue amounting to RM249 million, surpassing the estimated target of RM199.9 million.

“As of December 31, MPS’ financial performance reflects a commendable achievement, boasting an excess income or surplus of RM63.25 million.

“It surpasses the record of RM51.2 million during the same period in 2022,” he said during the MPS 2023 Excellent Service Awards event, at Setia Eco Templer yesterday.

Yazid added a total of RM109.12 million was collected for the current assessment taxes last year.
