SUBANG JAYA, Feb 4— The 3.07 hectare Putra Heights Community Park was inaugurated the day after it was completed last December at a cost of RM3.2 million.

Subang Jaya mayor Dato’ Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim said the Sime Darby Property project would benefit the community in Putra Heights and other visitors.

“The facilities in the park are in line with the vision of the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) to become a sustainable city,” he said after inaugurating the recreational park in conjunction with the first Subang Jaya Car Free Day 2024 here today.

The park is equipped with facilities such as signage, children’s games, senior-friendly exercise equipment and 1,042 meters of walking paths in the inner and outer circles.

In addition, there are rest areas, tables and chairs, squares, sculptures and grass fields for kite-flying.

It is also expected to become one of the focal points of the Putra Heights area after the Putra Heights Recreation Park (linear park), Putra Bestari Neighborhood Park 2 and 10,000 steps park.

Meanwhile, Kota Kemuning State assemblyman S Preakas welcomed the Sime Darby and MBSJ initiative to create the park.

“Thank you because it indirectly provides convenience and benefits to the residents here for recreation.

“I would also like to suggest that MBSJ make Putra Heights a sustainable municipal capital in accordance with its clean, strategic and orderly atmosphere,” he said.
