SHAH ALAM, FEB 11 — More than 7,000 people have visited the Anak Sidek exhibit at the Daeng Chelak Auditorium, Sultan Alam Shah Museum here since it was launched in November last year.
State executive councillor for housing and culture Borhan Aman Shah said the number of visitors to the exhibition that will be on until next April is expected to continue to increase throughout the school holidays.
“Various interesting programs are provided such as colouring and photo competitions, visitor quizzes and a guess the number of badmintons event.
“Interestingly, on February 24, visitors will have the opportunity to meet Anak Sidek comic artist Ajib,” he told Selangorkini.
The Anak Sidek exhibit tells the story of the success of Datuk Sidek Abdullah Kamar’s family who succeeded in shaping his five sons into world-renowned badminton players.
The late Sidek Abdullah only trained Misbun, Razif, Jalani, Abdul Rahman and Abdul Rashid at a court in Kampung Kanchong Darat, Banting, Kuala Langat.
Among the items on display are World Cup Badminton championship, Men Doubles Winners, All England, Commonwealth, Asian Games, Sea Games medalsm trophies and souvenirs presented to the five brothers.
