His Royal Highness said the Speaker and lawmakers should focus on debates and issues which benefits the people and state.

The Ruler also commended the state government for its strong financial performance last year, highlighting its various achievements, but stressed the importance of managing revenue well and utilising it for the people’s prosperity.

Separately, Sultan Sharafuddin told the state civil servants to avoid carelessness and laziness at work and urged them to have a sense of urgency in their service to the public.

His Royal Highness cited the delays in several infrastructural projects as examples of negligence and laziness among the civil service that affected the people.
