PETALING JAYA, March 9 — A total of 500 vouchers worth RM5 each will be distributed to visitors at the Selayang Utama, Damansara Damai, and Taman Ehsan Ramadan bazaars, said Bukit Lanjan state assemblyman Pua Pei Ling.

The initiative aims to assist bazaar traders in earning a living and also alleviate the financial burden of its visitors, many of whom are likely nearby residents.

“We will be on the ground for three consecutive days during the second week of Ramadan to distribute these vouchers to customers, based on first-come, first-serve.

“This initiative aims to help bazaar traders earn a living while easing the burden on buyers, considering the relatively high living costs at present,” she said.

Pua was speaking at Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI’s pre-Ramadan food basket programme in Damansara Damai today.

She added the constituency’s community service centre also plan to organise iftar gatherings with residents and distribute dates throughout Ramadan.
