Keadilan information tour starts tomorrow in prepping for GEs

SHAH ALAM, March 9 — Parti Keadilan Rakyat’s information tour will commence tomorrow in preparation for the upcoming general elections (GE), as well as the Sabah and Sarawak state elections.

Its vice-president Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said Selangor will be the first state in the tour, followed by other states after Hari Raya Aidilfitri. It aims to further strengthen communication and clarify issues to the people.

The tour will involve branch leaders and committee members to ensure they are well-trained and proficient in current issues, enabling them to respond to Opposition attacks effectively.

“I was asked to oversee (the tour), and will discuss with (Keadilan communications chief) Fahmi Fadzil, especially on current issues. We will tour every state and explain the issues to the grassroots.

“Do not expect ministers or leadership to answer everything. There needs to be a strong, trained team knowledgeable in all issues.

“We have elections in two, three years. We have the Sabah, Sarawak, and Melaka (state) elections before the 2027 GE.

“Rise up and realise; let us gather our strength. No matter how difficult the situation was before, we rose. Now we are getting better, so we must give better,” he said.

Amirudin was speaking at the Keadilan information tour convention’s closing ceremony at the Hotel Saujana Kuala Lumpur today.

He added that several elements forms the basis of the session, including the party’s struggle, the Prime Minister’s ability to boldly raise Palestinian issues, and the benefits received by the people via the unity government’s administration.

Economic conditions were also given consideration, and are a primary focus according to Keadilan’s narrative in preventing issues from inciting public anger.

“What we present, emphasise how the states and Malaysia are well-governed. This includes good state and national revenues distributed to the people. Cash contributions to Rahmah were increased, as well as RM2,000 bonuses given to civil servants and Rahmah Sales.

“Important current issues like government integrity and sensitive issues like Nik Elin also need attention. Do not rely solely on official media or television, as we need to enter that field,” Amirudin said.
