SHAH ALAM, March 23— Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI distributed 5,000 packets of bubur lambuk at three locations around the city today.

Via its Jelajah Bubur Lambuk 2024 programme, distribution took place at Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, at the Selangor police contingent headquarters, and at Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.

Its corporate social responsibility head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the inaugural programme is also joined by several state agencies, including Media Selangor Sdn Bhd (MSSB), the Selangor Women’s Welfare and Charity Organisation (Pekawanis), and Wanita Berdaya Selangor (WBS).

“Padiberas Nasional Berhad (Bernas) also sponsored 150kg of rice to prepare the meals, which began at 7am this morning.

“Some 200 volunteers from various agencies worked tirelessly to make Jelajah Bubur Lambuk 2024 a success, from cooking to distribution,” he told SelangorKini.

The packet distribution was conducted in convoy groups, attended by Pekawanis chairman Datin Seri Masdiana Mohamad, MBI chief executive officer Saipolyazan Mat Yusop, and MSSB chief executive officer Mohamed Fareed Ashaaree.
