SUBANG JAYA, March 9 — The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) obtained collected RM322.67 million in revenue for 2023, said its Mayor Datuk Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim.

He said its performance is indicative of the local authority’s rapid economic and very encouraging growth.

“Overall, MBSJ has successfully collected a total revenue of 102 per cent. I am very grateful to all parties including council members, department heads, and MBSJ employees.

“All parties have worked diligently and creatively, innovatively, firmly, swiftly, and courteously so all residents can feel MBSJ services,” Fauzi said during his speech at MBSJ’s Excellent Services Award (APC) 2023 ceremony at Summit Hotel yesterday night.

The council has also successfully won 13 local and international awards last year, including the gold award for the International Convention on QC Cycles (ICQCC) Beijing 2023 and the Integrity, Governance, and Anti-Corruption Award (AIGA) 2023 gold category.

“With this achievement, aligning with the services provided to residents is necessary. That is the most basic thing which we must ensure.

“The current IT explosion poses a challenge for all staff, especially in addressing residents’ complaints and providing the best service to the community.

“We need to anticipate complaints. Identify issues and solutions before residents make complaints. Move away from old ways of thinking and working so we can always meet the community’s demands,” he said.

During the ceremony, Fauzi presented the APC to 116 MBSJ staff for 2023, which he said aims to recognise and appreciate the contributions and dedication of its members in fulfilling their responsibilities as civil servants.

“This includes carrying out official duties or active involvement in sports, innovation, social, and community activities based on their performance in 2023.

“I hope this award will serve as a catalyst for continued success and drive the spirit of continuing to serve with even greater excellence, dedication, and commitment,” he said.

The council also awarded four special recognitions, including the Mayor’s Special Award, the Innovation Special Award (AKI), the Sports Special Award (AKS), and the Cultural Special Award (AKK).
