PLATS Masuk Bazar campaign sees 3,000 digital coupons distributed to public

PETALING JAYA, March 16 — Members of the public were given up to 3,000 Digital Rahmah coupons worth RM10 each, which are being distributed as part of the Selangor Platform (PLATS) Masuk Bazar campaign.

Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI chief corporate social responsibility officer Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the distribution is a continuation of the PLATS Masuk Pasar campaign.

“For Ramadan this year, we explore eight selected locations and distribute digital vouchers worth RM10 compared to PLATS Masuk Pasar’s vouchers, which were worth RM5 apiece.

“We aim to encourage cashless transactions among visitors while helping small and medium micro enterprises to adapt to digitalisation in business,” he said at the Ramadan bazaar along Jalan SS 6/1, Kelana Jaya yesterday.

Azri added that for Ramadan bazaars under the purview of the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ), MBI distributed 550 special digital vouchers worth RM20 each.

PLATS was introduced in Ramadan 2020 to complement the Selangor Digitalisation Agenda ecosystem via digital platforms following the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

It is one of the state government’s initiatives to help small and medium micro enterprises adapt to digitalisation in business.

PLATS also introduces a new initiative, the PLATS Entrepreneur Development Training Programme (U-PLATS), to help entrepreneurs manage their businesses digitally.

In continuing the digitalisation agenda, PLATS introduced the PLATS Masuk Pasar campaign last year, which was held for two months in 12 selected locations throughout Selangor, distributing 20,000 Digital Rahmah vouchers worth RM5 each.
