Singapore completes first humanitarian airdrop to Gaza

SINGAPORE, March 21 — Singapore has successfully conducted its first humanitarian airdrop to Gaza on Wednesday, as part of the country’s third tranche of humanitarian aid assistance to the conflict area.

In a Facebook post, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) said the airdrop mission using its C-130 transport aircraft was conducted in close coordination with the Jordanian Air Force.

“Every little bit counts; we hope these airdrop missions will bring some relief to the humanitarian situation in Gaza,” it said.

Singapore’s humanitarian assistance package includes meal packs, critical supplies, and medical equipment.

A joint statement by the Foreign Affairs Ministry and Defence Ministry said the Singapore government developed the humanitarian package in collaboration with the Kingdom of Jordan, ensuring alignment with the specific needs on the ground in Gaza.

Singapore’s proactive involvement in providing aid to Gaza underscores its dedication to humanitarian principles and its readiness to contribute to international relief efforts in conflict zones.
