Waste operator to provide bins for bulk waste in three local councils

SHAH ALAM, April 6 — KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd will be providing Roll On Roll Off (Roro) bins meant for bulk waste collection in three local authorities in the state, in conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

Its managing director Datuk Ramli Mohd Tahir said the three are Shah Alam City Council, Subang Jaya City Council and Sepang Municipal Council.

“We are implementing this initiative in these local councils as almost every year, the demand from residents there is high.

“We also welcome the public to submit their applications if they want us to collect their bulk wastes such as furniture and mattresses.”

He said this during a press conference yesterday in relation to KDEBWM’s solid waste collection plans for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festive season.

According to Ramli, applications for bulk waste collection can be made through the iClean Selangor mobile application, which is available through Google Play Store and Apple Apps Store.

“KDEBWM will process applications within 24 hours. The public are also encouraged to contact us via the app if they wish to lodge any complaints.”

Ramli also urged residents to lodge a report to the state waste operator if any of its staff seek duit raya.

“I am warning all KDEBWM personnel not to ask for duit raya from residents. If I receive any complaints, they will be terminated from their job,” he said.
