Slow traffic on several major highways

KUALA LUMPUR, SEP 10: Traffic in several major highways is reported to be slow at 8:30 am this morning as many Malaysians head for various destinations in conjunction with the school holidays and Hari Raya Aidiladha.
A PLUS Malaysia Berhad spokesman said that traffic is slow from Kuala Kangsar to Bukit Berapit, Menora Tunnel to Sungai Perak, Bandar Casia to Juru and Slim River to Sungkai due to the high number of vehicles on the road.
“Howver, traffic is slow at KM308.5 from Tapah to Gopeng due to an accident involving a car and a lorry, though no fatalities have been reported.
“Another ‘bumper-to-bumper’ accident at KM444.4 from Hospiral Sungai Buloh to Rawang involving two cars were reported. No lanes were blocked,” he was quoted by Bernama as saying.

Meanwhile, a Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesman said that traffic was reported to be slow before Gombak Toll Plaza heading east while other areas heading east was reported to be under control.
