Bloody nose incident: Pinocchio Jamal

BY: LIZAWATI MADFA
SHAH ALAM, NOV 14: The bloody nose incident of Red Shirts leader Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos is said to be due to his deceitful attitude.
KEADILAN Women’s Chief Zuraida Kamarudin said that the incident seems to mirror the popular fairy tale character, Pinocchio.
“If anyone remembers the story of Pinocchio, they will know why Jamal’s nose bled.
“Jamal’s nose grew longer and longer, and he must have hit something hard which made him bleed.
“Who would believe that he was hit by a woman; and if that was true, then it serves him right,” she said in a statement.
On November 13, Jamal’s nose bled in a scuffle when his group had followed the BERSIH group distributing pamphlets in Ampang Point shopping centre.

Captured on a video recording, it was clear that he had been punched by a police officer. However, he blamed Zuraida’s supporters and accused one of them of hitting him.
Jamal then lodged a police report at the Ampang Jaya District Police Headquarters, claiming he was hit by a person dressed in a BERSIH t-shirt.
At the same time, Zuraida said that the Sungai Besar Umno Chief must remember that making a false report is a crime.
“I am certain that the police will prosecute Jamal for the offense.
“OCPD Hamzah and his team are very efficient in carrying out their duties and I thank them for that,” she said.
