A 6.4 magnitude earthquake rocks Acheh

INDONESIA, DEC 7: A strong earthquake at 6.4 magnitude struck Acheh coastal areas in northern Sumatera early this morning, however no tsunami warning was issued.
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) Agency reported the earthquake at 10 kilometres (km) depth happened in the north of Reuleuet at 5.03 am local time.
Based on several reports by international media, many buildings collapsed due to the strong shake.

Acheh had experienced disaster following a tsunami in the Indian Ocean in 2004.
In its early assessment, USGS said the latest quake may not be damaging and harmful.
Last June, a 6.5 magnitude earthquake which struck western Sumatera cased damage to many buildings while eight people were injured.
