Express bus with 14 passengers overturns

KUALA KANGSAR, JAN 8: An express bus with 14 passengers along with the driver overturned at Kilometre 233.2 northbound of the North-South Highway this afternoon.
In the 3:12 pm incident, all 15 people were safe and only suffered light injuries, Harian Metro reported.
Sources said the accident involved only the bus that was on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Butterworth, Penang and was believed to have lost control just before hitting the ditch on the left side of the highway and overturning.
“The bus involved had 14 passengers and was driven by a 46 year old man but there was no second driver.
“All were safe, although one male passenger who suffered light injuries was send to Taiping Hospital for treatment,” he said.
The left lane of the highway was closed and caused a 1 kilometre-long traffic jam.
