I am deeply saddened and shocked by the mosque shooting in Christchurch, New Zealand.
This despicable, cowardly attack must be condemned as it is an assault on humanity and seeks to create division amongst people of different faiths.
In such times, voices of moderation need to stand together to denounce violence fueled by militancy. Extremism has no place in our society.
I stand in solidarity with all New Zealanders, especially the victims and families of this vicious attack.
I encourage all Malaysians in Christchurch to remain calm and seek assistance from the local embassy if required until the current situation betters.
