By Ida Nadirah Ibrahim

SHAH ALAM, Oct 29 — The Belanjawan Selangor 2020 (Selangor Budget 2020) will focus on five core areas which include economic empowerment, education, security, health and social aspects.

The Selangor Menteri Besar office in a statement today said that the state government has carried out five consultation sessions with all relevant stakeholders, which is in line with the main focus of the budget.

“This [the core areas] is also in line with the result received from a public survey conducted, where the people had asked for the state government to focus on housing, followed by education, safety and health.

“This coming budget is a continuation of two main approaches introduced in the previous budget, which is based on cluster development and alignment,” the statement read today.

Belanjawan Selangor 2020 will be tabled on November 1 (Friday) at the Dewan Negeri Selangor at 4pm.

Live updates on the tabling of the state budget will be made available on the Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari’s official website at amirudinshari.com.

The full speech text will be made available on the website beginning at 5pm, after it is tabled.
