Use SELangkah until Covid-19 vaccine found, says Dr Dzulkefly

SHAH ALAM, May 6 — The SELangkah initiative, which was introduced by the state government for Covid-19 contact tracing, should be used until a vaccine for the coronavirus is available, says Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.

The Selangor Task Force for Covid-19 (STFC) head said the initiative would help business premises track the infections from customers who had visited their outlets.

“Covid-19 may still be present around us but we need to be wise in the meantime before a vaccine or antiviral drugs for the virus is found.

“SELangkah is also moving in towards the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era,” he wrote on his official Twitter account today.

The contact tracing initiative was introduced by Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari on May 4.

State government offices, business premises, as well as residential areas are urged to use the system by registering themselves at www.selangkah.my.

SELangkah offers a seamless experience using a universal QR code technology that can easily be scanned using a smartphone, which keeps digital login information when a person visits a particular premise.
