Covid-19: Sabah CM Hajiji under self-quarantine for two weeks

KOTA KINABALU, Oct 8 — Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor will undergo self-quarantine for two weeks beginning today after having been exposed to a Covid-19 positive individual.

Sabah State Secretary Datuk Safar Untong said Hajiji is doing this as a precautionary measure.

“The state government will function as usual,” he said in a statement here today.

Safar said Hajiji will participate in meetings via video conference if necessary.

Kota Kinabalu is among eight districts in the state categorised as Covid-19 red zones. The other affected districts include Papar, Tuaran, Tawau, Lahad Datu, Semporna, Sandakan and Kunak.
