ANKARA, Oct 9 — Iceland moved to UEFA Euro 2020 play-offs on Thursday after beating Romania 2-1 in the play-offs semifinals, reported Anadolu Agency.
Everton’s midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson’s two goals secured a win for Iceland while Alexandru Maxim was the only scorer for Romania.
In addition to Iceland, seven more nations – Hungary, Serbia, Georgia, North Macedonia, Northern Ireland, Slovakia, and Scotland – also advanced to play-offs.
Four nations will qualify for Euro 2020 while the play-offs will take place on November 12.
